3rd InfoCom Green ICT Conference 2011

INNOVA participated in the Green ICT Conference 2011, which took place at Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens, on 17th of May, during the World’s Telecommunication and Information Society Day.

The main theme of this year's Conference was "Green Technology as means of Development". Green Development is a topic which is at the top of lists in political, financial and social agendas. INNOVA Group always considers any environmental implications and applies strategies of development according its environemental policies. Therefore the company has developed a number of initiatives aiming at the protection of environmental conditions.

Mr. Manolis Lignos, Multimedia & NGN Director of INNOVA, presented: «Machine2Machine And The Smart Grid» in which he described how these solutions are enabling utilities, to improve their environmental standing and customer service as well as decrease their costs. Moreover, the combination of M2M and the smart grid gives utilities remote access to data, such as energy consumption and energy disruptions, while customers gain access to such data as what appliances account for most of their energy consumption and how much they are spending on energy at a given time. INNOVA’s IT technology expertise is applied in creating innovative solutions for Intelligent Metering, Control and Automation Systems.
