INNOVA, having already established a substantial presence to Albanian market, organized successfully the workshop titled “Protection of Critical Data”, which took place on Wednesday 26 May 2010 in Tirana, at Sheraton Hotel.

The event was focused in the Protection of Critical data and the guidance on how organizations could maximize the trust of their data, making use of information centric approaches, relevant methodologies and appropriate tools.
The attendants had the chance to be informed about the new business and technology ecosystem which reflects the change of the traditional shape of technology infrastructure and means of use.

Mr. Sarigiannidis, Deputy CEO of INNOVA S.A., made the welcome speech to all Albanian leading companies and financial institutes’ representatives that honored the event with their presence.
Afterwards, Mr. Iliopoulos, Security Services Director of INNOVA S.A., made the main presentation titled “Framework for Critical Data Protection – An information Centric Approach” where he focused on the New threats & challenges for information security. The presenter focused on the need to establish a classification scheme throughout the enterprise, based on the criticality and sensitivity of enterprise data, suggesting that it should be used as the basis for applying controls in order to ensure automated integration of information protection.
